Humane Society Calendar

To create the calendar for the Human Society, I wanted the main focus to be on the animal. I chose the cutest pictures of animals that I could find and made them the largest item on the page, besides the actual calendar. I chose to the make the picture and the calendar the same size to add consistency to the design. I like a lot of clean lines and symmetry, so I tried to create this in the design. InDesign is helpful in achieving this because when placing objects, whether it is a shape or picture, InDesign shows green lines that allow the user to know that things are in line with other objects on the page. I left a border around the entire page because it is more appealing to leave some white space in the design. The page can look cluttered if it is completely full of items and colors, so I wanted to avoid that.

My calendar will appeal to the intended audience because I used pictures of a variety of cute animals, which was a request from the client. The calendar design also includes a variety of coupons, which the user will like. The coupons include discounts off of pet food as well as a coupon to a zoo.
